Rip x Joy

Puppies due February 2026. Contact us today to be placed on our waiting list.

Rip (J. Davis) BRN: 47987 and Joy (M. Bays) BRN: 40841. We expect excellent working candidates who are healthy, with stable temperaments, high drive, excellent training ability, and big grips.

Thank you, Jason Davis, for allowing us to use Rip at stud, and Emily Houk for your guidance and recommendation!

Joy is an Ivo III PH1 (H. R. Iedema) daughter with other notable influential dogs in her bloodline, such as Berry II (Lamers), Boy (Backhaus), Rudy (Jansen), Django (van der Doelen), Biko (Jansen), and Wibo (van Leeuwen). She is a substantial-sized female with good bone structure and weighs around 75-80lbs. Joy is incredibly social with people and other animals and can get along with just about anyone. I’m pretty sure she’s never met a stranger in her life. We affectionately refer to her as the dumb blonde of the family.

One of the best qualities of Joy is her rock-solid temperament and stable nerves. Joy takes every situation in stride with confidence and happiness to be there with you. She loves to work for and be with her people. Joy has incredible prey drive, will hunt for a ball all day long, and despite a lack of training in bitework, is incredibly enthusiastic with a strong desire to bite. Her primary job has been to raise puppies, and she has received little formal training.

Joy is 100% medically clear with spine, hip, and elbow x-rays, as well as a clear Embark panel. I’m happy to share those results with anyone who would like to see them. Joy has proven to be an excellent producer over different studs. She has been bred to Tommy (Pegge) multiple times as well as Otto (Wilts). She has successfully produced offspring competing and trialing in KNPV, FR, PSA, and working roles.

We expect nothing less from the combination of her and Rip.

RIP

Social/Social neutral to people and dogs. Environmentally stable/ solid nerves

He’s a natural searcher and constantly searches instinctually, not just out of possession for an object. Very possessive and loves to hold/bite anything and everything.

He’s not a biddable dog whatsoever, so you have to somewhat make anything involving obedience, his idea. Has zero handler aggression but corrections need to be given clearly and fairly.

Very agile and athletic. I’d say he’s equal parts active aggression and prey. Both are on the very high end of the spectrum.

His attack/entry speed is normal. He explodes at the last second looking for the confrontation in the attack and to go through you. He bites very hard, forward, full and most importantly, with intent. He’s wanting to bite you, not just the suit.

He fluctuates between 73-75lbs. Very clean and quiet in his kennel but any turn off switch outside of it, is trained and not natural. Food and toy drive both are incredibly high. Very independent. He’ll sit for affection all day, but won’t come looking for it. Not a needy dog.
